Walking
There are numerous walks from the site, take a stroll through the valley, along the river, or explore some of the nearby villages. Or if you feel more energetic, there are many trails for hiking of which we can provide routes and maps.
Biking
The flat and well maintained roads around the area are perfect for a leisurely days bike ride. There are also lots of tracks and trails for off road mountain biking.
Horse Riding & Donkey Trekking
We can arrange horse riding and hiking with donkeys which is available close to the site.
Watersports & Fishing
Canoeing, kayaking, white water rafting and fishing are all available on the Allier River.
Skiing
During the winter season, there is great skiing at Super Besse which is a 2 hour drive away.
The Volcanoes
There are 80 dormant volcanoes in the region which are excellent take off points for all sorts of activities from parasailing to hang gliding to hiking. The views are simply breathtaking. Puy de Dome, is one of the highest peaks and the best known take off points for free flying activities in the Auvergne and is situated 1 hour 30 mins drive from the site.
Vulcania Amusement Park, is just outside of Clermont Ferrand, a great day out for the kids.
